I am not a typical Probate lawyer.
I spent 21 years, from 1990 to 2011 as Company Secretary and Head of Legal for Clarks Shoes. I am still involved with various Clarks charitable trusts. Other volunteer roles have included being a governor of Millfield School, including a year as Chair of Governors, and chair of my local tennis club.
I set up Purely Probate because I was ready for a new challenge after 21 fulfilling years at Clarks Shoes.
When my brother-in-law died the service we received from a high street legal practice was poor and expensive, and left me feeling there was a void to be filled. I was determined to do better. From this experience, Purely Probate was born.
I am very excited to join Pardoes Solicitors during this time of growth and innovation! Purely Probate is unlike a traditional law firm. We are specialists; Wills, Probate, Trusts, Lasting Power of Attorney and related work for individuals can be regarded as a poor relative in multi-disciplinary practices. With Purely Probate it always gets top priority. We provide a bespoke and caring service during a difficult time. I was determined from the start that we would work for a fixed fee where possible, and that if our clients want it we will connect with and get to know them.
My initial excitement and enthusiasm has not waned. I still love it when we can help clients work out what they want and need to do, and when we serve them in a way that gives them complete confidence they are in safe hands.
