Inveterate marathon Man, Kieran Hughes, a solicitor in Pardoes criminal law team, has added yet another marathon to the long list of marathons and runs he has competed in.
Not one to do things by halves Kieran headed to Las Vegas for the World’s Toughest Mudder – “ the most extreme, insane, imposing, pulse-pounding, heart-stopping 24-hour obstacle course challenge on the planet”.
Some 1500 competitors pay $550 dollars each to suffer the pain of competing in this event which requires both stamina and fitness. .As part of his build up to the event, in the two weeks before, Kieran ran the 10k INVNCBL OCR race in Cardiff and The Clock Change Race at Calne.
Following his successful completion of the World’s Toughest Mudder, Kieran attended the awards ceremony where he received the Holy Grail Award which is given to those who successfully complete the three unique events, a Tougher Mudder, Europe’s Toughest Mudder and The World’s Toughest Mudder, in one season. The Holy Grail is designed to reward this die hard community for pushing themselves to the absolute limit over the course of an entire season.
Commented Kieran “This really was an awesome experience and one I don’t think I will ever forget.”
Pardoes’ Managing Partner, Guy Adams said “As Kieran has demonstrated our lawyers really don’t give up easily and relish a challenge. Whether it’s a challenging run/race or a complex legal case, our lawyers are committed to achieving a successful result”.
